NDTV Q3 net at Rs 1.6 crore

Company's income from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 149.8 crore

Media firm New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) today reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1.56 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 10.43 crore in the same period last fiscal, NDTV said in a filing to the BSE.

Its income from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 149.8 crore as against Rs 126.81 crore in the year-ago period.

Overall expenses during the quarter were at Rs 145.94 crore as against Rs 132.95 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

Television broadcasting revenue in the third quarter was at Rs 144.74 crore as against Rs 131.02 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Revenue from retail/e-commerce was at Rs 6.06 crore as against Rs 2.09 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, the filing said.

Shares of NDTV ended the day at Rs 94.75 per scrip, down 7.15% from the previous close on BSE.
