Nepalese national held with 8.4 kg charas

The SSB has arrested a Nepalese national with 8.4 kg charas in Raxaul town of Bihar's East Champaran district, an official said today.
During petrolling at Nehru Chowk near the porous Indo-Nepal border last night, SSB jawans intercepted a man, identified as Brajesh Rai and seized 8.4 kg charas from him, Sonam Tshering, Commandant of 47th Battalion of SSB, said.
The seized consignment of contraband substance is worth Rs 1.68 crore, he said.
Rai, a native of Nepal's Parsa district, has been handed over to Raxaul police for further action, Tshering added.
