The new body was formed as per the recommendations of Supreme Court-appointed Lodha panel.
"The association, named Saurashtra Players Association, has been formed as per Lodha committee recommendations," Gharvi said.
The association was formed today in the presence of former Ranji players from Saurashtra like Sudhir Tanna, Chetan Mankad, Hitesh Parsana, Bipin Pujara and Rajendrasinh Jadeja, Sudhir Tanna.
"The new committee will work together with the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) for the development of the game in the region," Tanna said.
