He was administered the oath of office by state Governor Shriniwas Patil at a function in Raj Bhawan here.
Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, Assembly Speaker K N Rai, Justice Meenakshi M Rai of the High Court, ministers and senior officials were present on the occasion.
