New Delhi, Feb 10 (PTI) A 26-year-old youth was arrested

for allegedly smuggling drugs and 1.8 kg of charas worth Rs 18 lakh was recovered from his possession, police said today. Mintu Shah, who belongs to Gopalganj district in Bihar, was arrested yesterday from Minto Road here after police acted on a specific input that he would be coming there. "At about 5:10 pm, a person was seen coming from Minto Road carrying a bag on his right shoulder. On the pointing out of the informer, he was stopped. On questioning, he revealed his identity as Mintu Shah and 1. 8 kg of charas was recovered from his possession," a senior police official said. He said Shah disclosed that he used to purchase charas from Bihar for selling the drug in slum areas of Delhi at higher prices which gave him a handsome margin. The official said the value of the drug is Rs 18 lakh.
