"The changes are effective from the 1st of this month," the Ministry said in a release today.
As per the new changes, institutions have to be first get accreditation with Quality Council of India before getting affiliation with the NCVT.
The QCI will counsel and guide the promoters to ensure that the required infrastructure infrastructure is in place.
"Their team will then visit the institute for verification of infrastructure in consultation with the promoters and submit their report only when all the accreditation norms have been fulfilled," it said.
