DK district-in-charge minister Ramanath Rai inaugurated a function in this connection held at a theatre here.
The 140 minute-long comedy entertainer, produced by Sharmila Kapikad and Sachin Sunder under the banner 'Bolli Movies' was received well by the audience in the two coastal districts, they said.
At the inaugural ceremony, Rai said the film got a wide release in 11 theatres with the support of the people of Mangaluru.
Kapikad said "Chandi Kori" would also be released in Gulf countries. Tulu films were being appreciated by the audience in Dakshina Kannada and his film had a good social message about respecting parents, the director said.
Arjun and Karishma Amin play the lead roles in the film.
Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists' Union president Jagannath Shetty Bala, Mohandas Kamath of Tulu Koota, Kuwait and others were also present at the inaugural of the movie.
