The man, a resident of Ashok Nagar in Metuppati, disrespected the national flag on the bonnet of a car of a judge parked in a house, Inspector P Balamurugan of Ganesh Nagar area told PTI.
However he did not elaborate.
The man was arrested yesterday evening on a complaint filed by the driver of the judge and later remanded to 15 days judicial custody.
He has been charged under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.
