Nickel and brass surges on consistent demand

Nickel and brass prices surged at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist buying amid consistent demand from industrial users.
While, copper sheet cuttings and lead edged down due to subdued demand from consumers industries.
Nickel prices rose by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 820 from last Saturday's close Rs 810.
Brass sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 281 as against Rs 279 previously and brass utensils scrap inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 275.
However, lead and copper sheet cuttings softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 131 and Rs 349 respectively.
