The actress was spotted getting close to Scott at Coachella's Neon Carnival over the weekend and onlookers said they appeared "flirty," reported Us magazine.
A source said, "Scott and Nina were getting very close. Very flirty."
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that the 27-year-old actress and the 30-year-old actor have been "casually hanging out" for a while but things are not serious yet.
"They're flirty and have been spending some time together but it's not serious."
Dobrev split from "Bridge of Spies" actor Austin Stowell in February.
The couple split in 2013 and he went on to marry "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed last year.
