"After such a big terrorist attack, the Chief Minister should have cancelled his party's programme at Rajgir," former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi said in a statement.
"Since he (Kumar) was not available, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde had to cancel his visit to Patna yesterday in connection with the multiple explosions ahead of Narendra Modi's rally on October 27," Modi claimed.
"Nitish Kumar should apologies to the people of Bihar for loss of lives and injuries to so many people," he said.
Taking up cudgels on behalf of his party prime ministerial candidate, Sushil Modi said instead of indulging in "bachkani" (childish talks) like Kumar, Narendra Modi showed rare quality of "patience and control" at the rally notwithstanding the blasts at the venue.
"The man should be praised for this," he said.
Picking holes in the security arrangements at the rally on Sunday last, the senior BJP leader asked why there were no metal detectors and CCTV cameras at Gandhi Maidan.
"The Chief Minister should answer as to why the Bihar Police did not interrogate IM leader Yasin Bhatkal after he was arrested in Raxual on Indo-Nepal borders and also on IM's strengthening its roots in Bihar," he added.
