SC/ST government employees should continue to get reservation in promotion because there has not been desirable improvement in their socio-economic conditions to warrant doing away with such quota, he told reporters at the airport here.
His party, JD(U), was in favour of passage of the constitutional bill to provide the quota and hoped the proposed legislation would ensure more clarity on the issue.
The state government had implemented quota in promotion for its SC/ST employees after a proper study of the Supreme Court order and making a survey.
