"There is no alliance with AAP as of today. AK Antony is the chairman of the party committee which is looking into the question of alliances," Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh told reporters here.
The above remarks come a day after a Congress spokesman suggested that the party may not be averse to doing business with AAP.
"Our fight is for ideology. We are a big party which believes in connecting people. We have no problem if any like-minded party comes to us," party spokesman Shaktisinh Gohil had said yesterday when asked about the prospect of a tie-up between Congress and AAP.
At the same time, Gohil had said that Congress was against the politics of violence. The comment was in reference to the clash between AAP and BJP workers earlier this week in Delhi following Kejriwal's brief detention in Gujarat.
