In an initiative to check corruption and activate the public grievance redressal system, Noida authority has started e-tendering for all projects exceeding Rs 10 lakh and appointed a vigilance officer.
Noida authority chairman Rama Raman has ordered e-tendering for all projects exceeding Rs 10 lakh as earlier the lower cap was set for Rs 2 crore, an official statement said today.
The decision of the authority came in the wake of demand of Noida Contractors Welfare Association for e-tendering for all projects irrespective of value of contract.
Association had levelled corruption charges against the Chief Maintenance Engineer, demanding an inquiry.
The chairman has directed the senior authority officers to constantly review the online complaints and see that these are resolved at the earliest.
Additional Chief Executive Officer Akhilesh Singh has been made vigilance officer. People can file complaint with him regarding any bungling in the contracts. Authority has already put 152 services online, it said.
He has further directed to issue the transfer memorandum on the same day when application for transfer of property is received with transfer charges and other documents as required.
On the pattern of Tehsil Divas, the Authority will also hold "Authority Day" on the third Thursday every month at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra sector 6 where public complaints will be heard and senior authority will issue directions for its disposal.
Meanwhile, Assistant Director, Income tax, today has sought details of tenders given by engineer-in-chief Yadav Singh to various contractors.
Details sought relate to all the three authorities of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna expressway authority.
