"I hereby appeal to the BCCI members not to be misled by the misinterpretation of the scope of the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in para 110 (V) at the instance of Mr Srinivasan and request the East Zone Members, whose turn it is to nominate the candidate for the post of President BCCI, to nominate a person who will up hold the majesty and purity of the game of Cricket," Verma appealed to BCCI interim president Shivlal Yadav through his legal counsel Chandrasekhar Verma.
"Who (new president) will ensure that frauds like match-fixing and betting and mal-practices which were predominant during N Srinivasan regime do not occur," Verma said.
