In 2009, the exchange provided an electronic bidding platform - Nse-ebid - for allocating debt investment limits for foreign portfolio investors.
"In order to enhance the security measures, the exchange shall be implementing Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for user log in on NSE's e-bidding Platform or Nse-ebid," the bourse said in a circular.
Two-factor authentication is a security process in which the user provides two means of identification from separate categories of credentials.
Earlier, the exchange has already implemented two-factor authentication for users of its web-based e-IPO, mutual fund platform, as well as in negotiated trade platform.
