An announcement was made in this regard by president of Gujarat Kshatriya-Thakor Sena Alpesh Thakor at a press conference here. The development comes ahead of the Patel community's mega rally scheduled on August 25.
Thakor said the OBCs won't allow Patels and the Gujarat government to snatch away the quota meant for them.
"Nowadays, prosperous communities like Patels want to be considered as backward classes and demand reservation under the OBC quota. We strongly oppose such activities of capturing the quota meant for OBCs, who are actually downtrodden and need support, which is not the case with them," Thakor said.
Thakor said the OBC rally will be organised even if authorities don't give permission.
