The championship, the third of its kind in India, would be participated by 700 athletes in 42 events - to 21 for men and 21 for women.
Replying to a question, Odisha Chief Secretary A P Padhi said around 45 countries along with around 20 world champion teams would participate in the event.
"About 1100 guests, including athletes, team officials and fans would be in Odisha for about 7 days. We have made the detail action plan for their travel, stay, practice, security and health care."
Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan said separate medical teams be constituted and tagged to various hotels where the athletes would be accommodated. He also advised to explore the possibilities of raising video-walls in various places of the city for branding, publicity and display of the grand event.
