Official caught red handed for accepting bribe

An in-charge manager at the office of the Inspector General of Police in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe.
ACB officials caught R Shankar Prasad red-handed after he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant for processing the complainant's medical examination file without any remarks, an ACB release said here today.
The accused officer was subsequently arrested and will be produced before an ACB court in Vijayawada. The case is under investigation, the release said.
