The production manager of the refinery, Salauddin Khan, was run over by Hydra, a special type of carrier inside the refinery, which is at present closed for annual maintenance.
"The driver of the Hydra carrier has been taken into custody, along with the carrier. It is an accidental death," deputy SP Mukul Dwivedi said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, he added.
