On surprise visit, minister finds 16 officials absent

Paying a surprise visit to various departments, Jammu and Kashmir minister Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi today found 16 PHE officials absent from duty and directed initiation of action against them.
The minister of State for Animal and Sheep Husbandry and PHE said indiscipline would be dealt with sternly, an official spokesman said.
The minister paid a surprise visit to various offices of PHE, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, he said.
Gurezi called for quick disposal of files and early redressal of grievances of the people, adding any official found resorting to unnecessary delay would be punished.
