While singer Harry Styles, 21, is keen to record a solo album, bandmate Louis Tomlinson, 23, wants to fulfill his dream of becoming an X Factor judge, reported the Daily Mirror.
"The band is to go on a break after promoting the fifth album next year, possibly with a number of live tour dates around the world," a source said.
Simon Cowell, who made the band on "X-Factor" in 2010, is keen to keep the band together for a long term and wants to give them time off so they come back stronger.
