"Singh was apprehended around 11:30 pm from Tilak Nagar yesterday," they said.
Singh, a native of Ludhiana, had come to Delhi in 2007 and did some odd jobs as bill collection agent and cashiers at restaurants and ice cream parlour.
"Before his arrest he was employed as a cashier at a restaurant in Tilak Nagar for last 10-15 days," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.
He visited Ludhiana periodically, where he along with an accomplice Goldy and others used to commit chain snatching.
In 2011, Singh was chased by a police party after he was fleeing on a motorcycle committing snatching where he was pillion rider.
Singh fired three gun shots on police party and ran away from there, said Yadav. He came back to Delhi and worked in restaurant hoping that nobody will get to know.
