One held with 2 kgs of charas

A man was arrested with two kgs of charas worth Rs 2 lakh in the street market from Chinyalisaur in the district today.
Bhola, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Banda district, was arrested with the contraband from near a forest checkpost during routine search this afternoon, a police officer said.
A case has been registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and he has been sent to jail, the officer said.
Two suspected drug peddlers had been held in the district yesterday with 60 kgs of a precious medicinal herb, called "Satavar", worth Rs 1.50 lakh, the officer added.
