One killed, 10 injured in tempo-truck collision

One person was killed and 10 others were injured when a tempo collided with a truck coming from opposite direction on Muzaffarpur-Motihari NH 28 in Bihar's East Champaran district today, police said.
The occupants of the tempo were on way to a 'Mahayagna' at Chakia (in East Champaran) when the three-wheeler collided with a truck coming from opposite direction, Piprakothi SHO Shashi Bhushan Kumar said.
The deceased has been identified as Wakil Mahto (58), he said adding that 10 persons were injured in the accident including a woman who received serious injuries.
The injured have been admitted to Sadar hospital.

The truck driver managed to escape from the scene, SHO said adding that police have impounded the truck.
