Harishankar Patel of Madhya Pradesh was shot dead and his son injured by members of Balkhadia gang yesterday night, IG (Law and Order) R K Vishwakarma told reporters here.
He said an FIR has been registered in this regard against Balkhadia and 12 other members of his gang.
Keeping in view the tension after killing of Patel, PAC personnel have been deployed there, he said.
