The police said the incident happened near Khalispur village and the deceased has been identified as one Vikku Kumar (33), the auto-rickshaw driver.
"Four passengers travelling in the auto-rickshaw and the bike rider were also injured in the incident. The condition of the bike rider is critical and he is being treated at the government sub-divisional hospital here," Sarairanjan Station House Officer (SHO) Raj Kishore Kumar said.
Kumar said the auto-rickshaw driver's body has been sent for postmortem and his family members have been informed.
