One killed, four injured in clash in Guj

One person was today killed and four others were injured in a clash between members of a comunity at Salal village of Sabarkantha district, police said.
The clash erupted between members of Gawariya community over marriage of a woman to a neighbour against the wishes of her family members, police said.
"The woman's brother Udaji Gawariya forced the neighbour, identified as Vagjibhai Gawariya, to give his sister back to the family. To this, Vagjibhai said it was not possible as they had already solemnised their marriage in the court. This led to clash," Prantij police inspector P B Rathod said.

During the clash, Udaji was hit by a rod on his head and a stone on his chest, following which he died on the spot, the officer said.
A case under section 302 (murder) and other relevant sections of IPC was registered against 14 persons, Rathod said, adding investigations are underway.
