One killed in bomb blast

One person was killed when
some explosive materials went off at Kaferpur village in Nanoor police station area of Birbhum district, the police said today.
The dead, identified as Manjur Seikh (50), died last night when the explosive materials went off while making bombs in an under-construction house, the police said.
A resident of Ketugram village of nearby Burdwan district, he was hired to make bombs in the house owned by Nazrul Seikh.
The walls of the house were damaged by the impact of the blast.
A senior police officer said that Seikh suffered severe burn injury and the owner of the house was absconding.
