Online portal for payment of road tax launched

Transport Dept has taken several initiatives in recent past to achieve a service oriented approach

An online portal for payment of road tax was launched by Delhi Transport Minister Ramankant Goswami here today.

The e-payment portal allows road tax of commercial vehicles to be deposited online. There is also a facility to take the print-out of the payment receipt at home.

Goswami also inaugurated the renovated zonal transport office in Vasant Vihar which is equipped with a fully computerised system.

"The Transport Department has, in the recent past, taken several initiatives to achieve a truly service-oriented approach in its functioning by enhancing efficiency, improving transparency and by increasing accountability," Goswami said.
