Only 38 pc of property offences solved in Vizag in 2014

The city police solved only 38 per cent of the property-related offences such as theft, robbery, burglary, chain-snatching, etc., in 2014.
In-charge police commissioner Atul Singh said today that while the property worth Rs 6.49 crore was lost in these offences, Rs 2.54 crore-worth stolen property was recovered.
A total of 1,651 property cases were registered in Vizag in 2014, of which 630 were solved.
As per the police, murder for gain, robbery, house break-in incidents by night increased this year.
