Both the class 10 and class 12 examinations would start from March 2.
While 8,17,941 boys will be appearing for the exam, 5,55,912 girls will be sitting for the exam, said CBSE in a statement issued today.
Last year 13,28,970 students had appeared for the examination.
In case of class 12, 10,40,368 students would be appearing for the exam, 6,07,383 of whom are boys.
The percentage increase of total students appearing is 1.01 as compared to last year, the statement said.
