While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival, government procuring agencies have procured over 59.17 lakh tonnes whereas over 12.61 lakh tonnes of paddy is purchased by millers and dealers.
He said that more than 27.57 lakh tonnes of paddy has been purchased by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 19.22 lakh tonnes by Hafed, over 6.49 lakh tonnes by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation, over 5.68 lakh tonnes by the Haryana Agro-industries Corporation and 19,667 tonnes by the Food Corporation of India.
