Over Rs 55 lakh seized in two days in TN

As part of efforts to curb money distribution ahead of tomorrow's Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu, electoral authorities have seized over Rs 55 lakh in the last two days.
Disclosing this, Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar said in a release today that as many as 5,400 Zonal teams were deployed to curb door-to-door money distribution and due to this Rs 55,19,525 was seized in just two days.
He said 111 persons were involved in distribution of the amount and 17 of them have been arrested.
