The two, who held the respective offices in the previous assembly, were accompanied by a host of AIADMK ministers as they filed their papers before Assembly Secretary A M P Jamaludeen, official sources said.
With no one else filing nominations for the post, the two are set to be elected unopposed. Today is the last day for filing nominations for the election scheduled for tomorrow.
AIADMK, which won the May 16 Assembly elections for a consecutive term, has 133 MLAs in the 234-member house with three vacancies and it can ensure election of its nominees for the key posts.
