Pachauri's electronic devices were not hacked: Police

The Gujarat-based Forensic Science Laboratory has found no evidence of hacking of electronic devices used by former TERI director R K Pachauri, who is facing alleged sexual harassment case, as claimed by him before the investigators, Delhi police said today.
Police is awaiting the second report from the FSL to arrive at any conclusion in the alleged sexual harassment case lodged against him by a woman research analyst, they said.
"This is only one report (from FSL) and they were awaiting a second report that will confirm whether the emails and messages sent to the victim were indeed transmitted from Pachauri's devices," a senior official said.

Police have already written to FSL asking it to submit the second report, said the officer.
Last year, an FIR was registered against Pachauri on the alleged charges of sexual harassment under sections 354, 354(a), 354(d) (molestation) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC at Lodhi Colony Police Station after the woman had submitted a 33-page complaint to the police.
Investigators had sent Pachauri's mobiles, computers and laptops, submitted to police by him, last year for forensic analysis as he claimed that he was a victim of hacking and his computer resources were misused and he had filed a police complaint in this regard as well.
