While Arif was arrested yesterday, the police nabbed his brother Farman today.
The arrests came after the head of a toddler was found at their house in Kahawar Kalan town near Darya Khan in Punjab province. They have allegedly confessed to cannibalism.
The court in Sargodha sent the duo on a police remand.
Arif was arrested when police raided the house after neighbours complained of an overpowering stench and discovered the grisly scene.
He admitted having eaten the child after his brother had stolen the body from a graveyard.
Arif and Farman had been found guilty of the same crime in March, 2011 and jailed. They had reportedly dug up and devoured up to 150 bodies before being finally caught.
They were released in May last year after serving a two-year sentence.
The duo had spent most of their prison term in King Edwards Medical College in Lahore, where they were examined by the neurophysiology department, local media reported.
Three years ago, the police had found the body of a 24-year-old woman who had died of cancer at the two men's house. The body was missing a leg which they had eaten.
Although Arif frequently changed statements, he admitted that the two have been eating human flesh since they were released, local reports here said.
The men's wives and family members had left them some years ago and both were living in the house in isolation, police said.
