A high-level Pakistani delegation of civil and military officials is visiting Afghanistan to hold talks on various issues between the two nations, including combatting terrorism, ahead of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's proposed visit to the war-torn country.
Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal said the delegation led by Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua will hold discussion under the framework Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS).
The APPAPS, which was unveiled in February when foreign secretary Janjua visited Kabul, aims to deal with various issues between the two countries.
The Foreign Office said that Prime Minister Abbasi is expected to visit Kabul on April 6.
The APPAPS focuses on ensuring comprehensive engagement between the two nations for countering terrorism, refugee repatriation, intelligence sharing, economic development through trade and transit interaction, reduction of violence through a comprehensive re-conciliatory approach.
