Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain will visit China from tomorrow to attend a huge military parade in Beijing to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and meet China's top leadership.
Hussian will be visiting China from September 1-4 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Pakistan's Foreign Office said.
"During the visit, the President will attend the military parade being held in Beijing in respect of World War II," it said.
"The President will also hold bilateral meetings with the Chinese President and other dignitaries."
Foreign Office said the two sides will review important aspects of bilateral relations during the visit, and exchanges on regional issues and international developments will also take place.
Pakistan and China attach highest priority to their strategic cooperative partnership and exchanges at the highest level are hallmark of their relationship. In April, President Xi visited Pakistan.
Pakistan president's visit to China to commemorate the WW-II anniversary would consolidate the "all-weather" ties between the two countries.
The huge military parade planned for Thursday is likely to be a show of strength as China asserts itself more regionally.
The Communist nation will display its intercontinental ballistic missiles and a host of other weapons at the parade likely to be attended by 30 world leaders.
About 1,000 foreign troops from 17 countries, including Pakistan, will participate in the military parade.
