However, other edible and non-edible oils settled around previous levels after trading in a narrow range.
Marketmen said easing demand from retailers against sufficient stocks mainly led to decline in palmolein oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) oils drifted by Rs 50 and Rs 30 to Rs 5,650 and Rs 5,600 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal): Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 850-1,065.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,700, Castor Rs 9,900-10,000, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
