Panchaloha idol of lord Ganesha offered at Sabarimala

In a rare offering to Lord Ayyappa here, a seven feet high 'Panchaloha' (of five metals) idol of Lord Ganesh, weighing 388 kg, was donated to the presiding deity at the hill shrine here.
A Hyderabad based company has donated the idol, which has a gold chain ground its neck, temple sources said.
The idol has been kept by the Devaswom officials at the "Valiyanada Pandal" near the 'Sannidhanam' (sanctum sanctorum).
