Panel to select SNDT Women's University VC formed

Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao has set up a Search Committee under the chairmanship of retired Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court Justice Jagdish Bhalla to select the new Vice Chancellor for the S N D T Women's University.
The SNDT University founded by Maharshi Karve in 1916 is celebrating its Centenary this year.
The term of the present Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Vasudha Kamat ends on May 13, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said.
Dr S Parasuraman, Director of Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Smt Valsa Nair, Secretary, Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra will be the other members of the Search Committee.
