Expelled RJD MP Pappu Yadav today rejected speculation of a tie-up with BJP and pitched for a Third Front against NDA as well as Lalu Prasad-led RJD in poll-bound Bihar.
As the non-NDA formation in the state remains in a flux with differences between allies Prasad and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar growing, Yadav today claimed any alliance involving RJD leader had no future and urged former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi to join hands with him.
Talking to reporters, the five-time Lok Sabha MP said he was all for an alliance of Congress, the Left, Manjhi and his newly-floated Jan Kranti Adhikar Morcha.
Seen to be getting closer to the saffron camp as the two big alliances in the state work to stitch up a winning combine, Yadav claimed he would not tie up with BJP.
"Bihar needs a third option. It has had enough of caste and family (RJD) rule and does not want communalism (NDA)," he said.
He, however, kept attacking Prasad, alleging he was working for an alliance to save his family's political future. Nitish Kumar would not have suffered such a sorry fate if he had not joined hands with Prasad, he said.
Yadav enjoys considerable influence in parts of Bihar. His wife Ranjeet Ranjan is a Congress MP from the state.
