"During the recent seat sharing meeting, the NCP has asserted its claim in view of the performance in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections, but a final decision will be taken at highest level when Congress president Sonia Gandhi and NCP chief Sharad Pawar meet in Delhi," Pawar told reporters here today.
Both the party chiefs are likely to meet on the issue after the ongoing budget session of the Lok Sabha, Pawar added.
NCP state unit president Sunil Tatkare, who was also present on the occasion, said the party was holding interaction with the leaders and workers in each district on the issue.
In reply to a question, Pawar said there was no anti-incumbency in the state and the party would put up a good show. "The alliance is in power for last 15 years," he said.
Tatkare claimed that although the Lok Sabha results had left the party workers disappointed, it was no longer the situation.
