NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, who was hospitalised on Sunday following reaction to medication, is doing "fine" and will be discharged in the next 1-2 days, party's Maharashtra unit president Sunil Tatkare said today.
"Pawar saheb had to be hospitalised after he suffered a reaction to a medicine that he was taking, but after being treated he is fine. Once he is released by tomorrow evening or day after tomorrow in the morning, he will start with his usual work," he told reporters.

Elaborating on the point, Pawar said, "I give credit
to my voters. They had been electing me for the last 50 years and it is not a joke. Out of the 50 years, except for the first five years, I did not even campaign. Without canvassing and without addressing a meeting, they voted and in every election, except one, I got more than 75 per cent votes. So this credit goes to my voters, who do not expect money or any other propaganda material, so I owe it to them."
When asked about his role in public life as a 'crisis management guru', he said he likes to take up challenges in administration and politics.
"In any field, there are challenges and I like to face challenges in politics and administration. Crisis management is also a challenge and I think I have worked effectively so far," he said.
Replying to a query on funding that political parties receive from unknown sources, Pawar said, "There exists a multi-party system in India and there are people in the country, who like to support political parties financially."
"However, they are worried that if they are supporting X party and Y comes to power, the latter's approach towards them would be different. I think unless and until that fear disappears, people will not come forward," he added.
In his message to the youth, he said that in life, there can be ups and downs, but one should not worry about the failures. He also said that one should not behave in a different manner when he comes to power.
"Let's accept challenges, work hard, give results and whatever commitment you have made in any field, fulfil that," he said.
Hundreds of NCP workers today thronged Pawar's residence here to congratulate him on being chosen for the Padma Vibhushan award.
