'Pay Anomaly Commission to remove salary aberrations'

The Pay Anomaly Commission has been constituted to remove pay anomalies among state government employees, Finance Minister Abhimanyu informed the State Assembly here today.
The commission was constituted on September 11, 2014.
The Minister said that this Commission would make appropriate recommendations to the government on representations received from individual employees or association or union of employees for removal of pay anomalies and deviations.
The inconsistencies might have arisen out of the implementation of pay revisions as Haryana Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 and Haryana Civil Services (Assured Career Progression) Rules, 2008 amended from time to time.
The Minister was responding to a question from Congress MLA Karan Singh Dalal on whether any proposal is under consideration of the government to enhance the salaries of all the employees of the government departments in Haryana at par with Punjab government.

To another question, the Assembly was informed that mining in Aravalli area in districts of Faridabad, Gurgaon and Mewat is closed as per directions from the Supreme Court.

This was stated by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today in a written reply to a question raised in the ongoing budget session of the assembly regarding mining issue.
The Chief Minister stated that in order to get the matter adjudicated and finally decided, it was taken up with the Supreme Court as well as the Central Empowered Committee but a favourable decision did not come forth.
The matter has been taken up with the Attorney General of India to get the matter listed before the Supreme Court for an early hearing, the House was informed.

He stated that the closure of mining has resulted in the low collection of revenue and in the loss of employment for the labourers engaged in mining, transportation, stone crushers and other associated activities.
It also resulted in high cost of construction due to rise in the prices of the construction material for the government as well as for the general public during the last few years, it was informed.
To another question, Haryana Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ram Bilas Sharma today said the state government had constituted Haryana Staff Selection Commission and all vacant posts would soon be filled up.

Sharma was replying to a question asked by MLA Ghanshyam Dass in the Assembly.
Sharma said that about 61,000 posts are lying vacant in various departments in the State. There is shortage of staff and process for filling up of vacant posts would be started very soon, he added.
Regarding another question, the House was informed by Agriculture and Animal Husbandary and Dairying Minister, O P Dhankar that Rs 52.08 crore has been recovered up to December 31, 2014 from various milk plants as "milk cess" imposed on these plants against due amount of Rs 565.29 crore.
