The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expecting clearance from the Indian government tomorrow for visas to be issued to the Lahore Lions team for the Champions League in India this month.
A senior official when contacted told PTI that till Thursday visas had not been issued to the Pakistan team.
"We have sent all documents for visas to the Indian High Commission. I think they will issue them once they get clearance from their government," he said.
The Lahore Lions led by Muhammad Hafeez is due to fly out on September 9 to play the qualifying matches of the Champions League.
Interestingly, if the team qualifies for the main rounds than it will miss the national T20 regional tournament being held in Multan from September 16 to 28th the same duration as the main rounds of the CL.
"Even if Lahore Lions qualifies for the main rounds it will get a direct entry into the National T20 super eight event which will be held next year," the official said.
