It asked the Centre to send the army back to barracks from these areas.
"The army has done a good job. But, now is the time for them to go back to barracks as peace has returned," Mustafa Kamal, Additional General Secretary of the party, said at a function at Sogam Lolab in North Kashmir.
Additional troops should be sent back to barracks as "we see a considerable change in the overall situation in the state", he said.
"Revocation of AFSPA is need of the hour and it should be revoked from peaceful areas," the NC leader said.
