In Nagaland, large number of people thronged churches holding special mass and services to offer prayers for fathers on Father's Day.
Church organisations made gift arrangements for fathers on the special occasion and fathers above 70-years of age were also honoured with special gifts.
Churchgoers were seen standing outside over-crowded churches to join the service.
Vehicular traffic in Kohima and Dimapur remained jam packed due to the swelling crowd.
The Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June every year in recognition of the contribution of fathers and fatherly figures and also to celebrate paternal bonding.
