BJP candidate from Trilokpuri Kiran Vaidya, wife of former MLA Sunil Vaidya who has been given ticket from her husband's seat following his death last year, today said she was confident that people will vote for her on the basis of development work done by her husband.
"People of Trilokpuri would remember him of the development carried out by him in the aera and I am confident that people would also support me in Assembly elections as they had supported Vaidyaji," Kiran said.
Aam Aadmi Party had accused Sunil Vaidya of fomenting the last year's riots in Trilokpuri.
"He (Sunil Vaidya) didn't have any role in Trilokpuri riots and his name was dragged into this incident by some one to get political mileage," she also said.
BJP MLA Sunil Vaidya had fell unconscious on the stage while addressing a rally of Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on December 8 in the area and passed away on December 17 last year.
